Tubbs Snowshoes will be on hand to provide FREE snowshoe demos for Romp participants to use at the Romp to Stomp and on a first come first serve basis.

Common Questions for Demos

It says first come, first serve. Does that mean you'll run out?
We keep a close eye on registration numbers and the number of those indicating that they would need snowshoes.

Although we haven’t had a problem with running out in the past, the event series grows every year and we can't guarantee snowshoes demo availability. If you are not able to bring your own, rent or borrow from a friend and are concerned about the demos running out, try to arrive at the Tubbs Demo tent when it opens on event day. You'll need your bib number to borrow a pair of demo snowshoes, so make sure that you've checked-in first! Check schedule for info

If I need to use demo snowshoes, where do I pick them up?
After you check-in for the Romp and receive your event materials, head to the Tubbs Demo Tent.Snowshoe-savvy folks will get you hooked up with a pair of snowshoes that you can use for the Romp. After you're finished with the snowshoe walk, please return them to the demo tent.

What happens if you run out of demo snowshoes?
In case we run out of demo snowshoes, we do have a few alternate plans that we can implement if necessary. However as long as most participants try to make an effort to bring their own, borrow, or rent snowshoes, we should be fine!

When I registered, it asked if I would be bringing snowshoes to the event. Does that mean I have a pair reserved for me?

No. That registration question helps us gauge how many snowshoes we will likely need for the event. All Tubbs demo snowshoes are first come, first serve.

Where can I rent snowshoes?
Usually there are some places that rent snowshoes in the area. Stay tuned for a list!
